In IE, the mail login page comes up blinking and won't stop. in Firefox, it works fine. what's wrong with IE?windows update

I had the same problem and solved it by increasing cookie acceptance. Go to tools, internet options and privacy. My setting was on high. By lowering it to medium high, I was able to log in. Also, I found that right-clicking on the blinking login page did bring up the login window.

Good luck.

First update and scan your computer with your security products such as antivirus and antispyware applications. If you computer comes up clean after running your resident security products, you may want to consider running a System File Checker (SFC). This can be run in Safe Mode should you prefer. To get into Safe Mode either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. To run SFC, close all applications such as Office, Messenger, Email, etc, and go to:

- Start

- Run

- Type in sfc /scannow (include the space before the " / ")

What SFC does is that it attempts to fix or replace critical operating system files. Sometimes this can be done without the installation disk, however it may prompt you for the appropriate operating system installation disk. If that is the case, then you know that you definitely have file corruption or something missing. Insert the disk if prompted. Also you should run SFC using the Administrator account.

If you have the Vista operating system, the steps are a bit different due to the UAC. See the link below.

http://vistasupport.mvps.org/system_file...

Don't surf, play games or do anything while SFC runs. After it is completed, reboot your computer.

One of the major culprits in missing or corrupt operating system files is running a registry cleaner or optimizer. They can flag important shared files for deletion or cleanup. Another cause is malware.

NOTE: Before running any registry cleaner or editing the registry, always ensure you back it up first. If the registry cleaner you are using doesn't have that function, you can do it manually. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756
do a system restore back 2 a time when everything worked. then do what i did. ignore ie7 altogether. use mozilla firefox instead. can be found at www.mozila.org free dl free updates free plugins. better security

I just upgraded from IE 7. How do I transfer my IE 6 "Favorites " to the IE 7 Yahoo home p

If you have favorites on a home page it does not matter what browser you are using. They will be there. If you are asking about IE favorites they are transferred during the install.

I just upgraded from IE 7. How do I transfer my IE 6 "Favorites " to the IE 7 Yahoo home page???web browser

Your favorites should have been transferred automatically. Click the "Star" icon to the far left of the screen and you will be able to see your favorites there.

To install IE 7.0 should I uninstall previous version IE 6.0?

Yahoo has offered and recommended upgrading to Internet Explorer 7.0 browser. What advice do you have as far as whether or not it is recommended to uninstall previous version 6.0?

To install IE 7.0 should I uninstall previous version IE 6.0?windows mobile

nope..don't uninstall it because you can always go back to IE6 if you don't like IE7

xrsn

To install IE 7.0 should I uninstall previous version IE 6.0?safari browser internet explorer

DO NOT INSTALL IT. Who cares what Yahoo recommends..Yahoo is WRONG!!!

Show me where they recommend installing a beta version of IE that is not even released as a final release...

You will regret it. It is full of Bugs and Security exploits.
IE7 went full version today, but please be careful, there's a big flaw in it already, so best wait until its sorted. Please read about it here http://www.webuser.co.uk/news/98024.html
Assuming you are using Windows XP, it is not possible to remove IE6.

Just install the new version if you want to try it.

IF you had a previous (Beta) version of IE7, it is recommended to remove it before installing the new code.
NEVER EVER INSTAL IE 7.0 ..if u do ..u would be the next victim of IE 7.0...this version is not reliable...dont do this ..with that yahoo never recommends this version ..u have misconception..if yahoo says so..then even do nt install it..because there are many many bugs in this version which will COLLAPSE u entire WINDOWS. and even there is no "UNINSTALLER" attached with this version...DONT DO IT...."""HOW MANY TIMES I SUGGEST MY DEAR USERS TO NOT TO INSTALL IE 7.0 BUT..." its my clear recommendations again..that DONT DO IT..chaoo
LoL, you don't have to uninstall, IE7 will uninstall it while installing itself. Don't worry, you can get IE6 back from download.com.

Check out IE7, it's awesome.

In Windows IE how do I save the tabs so they will all open next time I open IE?

Tools -%26gt; Internet Options -%26gt; Home Page. You can create as many hoe pahe as you want. They will be opened in the separate tabs

In Windows IE how do I save the tabs so they will all open next time I open IE?microsoft.com

Save all the sites you want to open to a seperate folder in your favorites. Click on "Favorites", then roll the mouse over the folder you want to open. There will be an arrow to the right of the folder pointing to the right. Click on the arrow, and all the sites in the folder will open in seperate tabs.

If you only want to open them once, have all the sites you want to save open, and close out IE. You will get a window that says "Do you want to close all tabs?" Click the box that says "Open these the next time I use Internet Explorer." Then, the next time you open IE, all your tabs will be restored.
