Why don't any of the graphics/photos on Yahoo pages display when I use Firefox (which I prefer)

I just signed up with Yahoo for email and realized that none of the graphics or photos on Yahoo's web pages show when I'm using Mozilla Firefox. Yet when I use IE (which I hate to do) they show up fine. Any thoughts on what my problem is will be appreciated.

I've never had a problem viewing graphics or images with Firefox. Check your settings.

There is a setting in Firefox that you have to enable to automatically view images. You're much better off with IE due to the amount of sites that are out there that require IE due to content.

Sure, open Firefox, and click, Tools%26gt; Options %26gt; Main%26gt; System Defaults (at the very bottom), check the box "always ccheck.....", and click on the "Check Now" button. That's it.

If you haven't done this yet, I don't know what you're waiting for - when Firefox asks if you want to make this your default browser, you click yes and it should work - If you don't see this message, go to Firefox's option menu and you should find it. Yes I`ve had problems whis Internet explorer also .Somebody told me that you have to go to control panel then add remove programs and just do uninstall ie7 but I didn`t find that So yesterday I downloaded Mazila Firefox from mazila.com and it`s working just fine,my comp. doesn`t have any problems anymore so good luck to you and Happy New Year.

In Excel - select the area of cells that you would like to type numbers into and right click- then select "Format Cells"

make sure that it isn't set to anything that will round up or down.

Choose Text if you only want the cell to show a number, or choose number if you would like to use the cell in an equation.

if you would like to bypass the entire process you can create a custom cell format- and in the window type 0000000000000000 with 16 zeros, you can also put spaces in between every 4 numbers if you want.

Might be a corrupt cookie! Try to do the following: close all browser windows, then open a new one. Click on tools at the top of your screen, go to internet options. In the drop down menu go to "temporary internet files", delete all cookies and other temp-files. When checking your mail again, the problem should be fixed.

Maybe you didn't enable scripting? If so, click "tools", select "internet options", click "security". Now click the internet icon, click "custom level". Scroll to "scripting", enable "active scripting", allow paste operations via script, scripting of Java applets are all enabled. Finally click "ok" at the bottom.

Restart Yahoo! messenger and you should start seeing text again.

Hey, that sounds real bad, i haven' had this problem before, but wat if you tried uninstalling ie7 and reinstall it again or better yet, why dont you just use safari, or opera, or firefox, they are all good.
It sounds like you have a VIRUS. You need to download a couple of antivirus programs, install them and update them. No antivirus program is a silver bullet. Having multiple ones covers more viruses.

Any decent travel agent or "bureau de change" would be able to tell you the daily rates for that period, then get some help to set up an excel spreadsheet and place the dates in and convert to graphs showing min - max - average exchange rates and reflect / calculate the fluctuations

Try astro.com and you will need to know the exact time and place of each other's births. I have gone into IE and gone to the general tab where you set your homepage and everything is greyed out and it will not allow any changes, also on that one tab, General, none of the rest, the "Apply" button is also greyed out ? what causes this? Also, I run xp media center, but when installing is shows up as XP PRO, Xp Pro did not come with the system, and when I am in control panel and hit add/remove windows components it ALWAYS ASKS FOR XP PRO, and will not accept XP media center. well, i had an h-p once.... and it was doing a lot of crazy crud (not identical) like you are getting.

if still in warranty, get ahold of h-p again and get your money back or a totally new unit. be firm with them. they love to give ya back more junk. i sold my h-p and got an e-machine, and she just chugs right along... no prob's. if you are getting this much trouble, no single answer, and maybe only a large book will correct the problem.
this problem basically appears if ur not the adminstrator or if ur adminstrator account is being used by some one else. the cause can be that ur adminstrator account has been dissabled or deleated-because of this u can not perform any control panel works. u will simply have to check ur windows if they r the original ones or not cause microsoft has made bugs that hit pirated windows and dissable their main functions which causes software abnormalities which all seem like hardware

malfunctions. reinstall windows dude.

u can also switch to firefox which is totally bug free and much faster.its also free.

For some websites you may just need to clear history (NOT JUST COOKIES), or for some sites they may use IP address in which case dont bother..

I've already double checked that the Firefox option to check that it is the default on startup is selected. I've also verified under IE options that it isn't the default. It does, however, list itself for .url, .mht and .mhtml. I can't seem to de-select these. That being the case, the links I've been clicking are not of these.

Force Firefox to make itself the default browser...

If Firefox already thinks that it is default, exit ALL INSTANCES of Firefox completely, then go to "Start Menu -%26gt; Run" and enter this into the text box:

firefox.exe -silent -nosplash -setDefaultBrowser

Click the OK button. You should be golden! :o)

If you don't have a 'run' item in the start menu, you can always press the Windows-key-%26gt;R to get a 'run' line. Then enter in the firefox.exe -silent -nosplash -setDefaultBrowser. Worked like a charm for me! Report It
